Most of the people I love and are my family are either gay or considered "minorities" by main stream US culture. This has made me consider who I choose to portray in my art.
My main mission for making art is to represent people who are beautiful but don't fit the main stream ideals of who is found beautiful. For this reason I focus on gay and gender fluid people as well as black and brown people.
I hope that by doing this I am able to support people who are outside of the "mainstream" and show the world how beautiful and attractive every human being is.
